Oh, Canada!

So... we wents to Kingston, Canada for Thanksgiving. They have Thanksgiving on a different day, so stuff wasn't closed. :P

On the way, we stopped by this little lighthouse near Cape Vincent, NY.

Here's a view from the bridge we took into Canada. Actually, there were two bridges, but they were basically the same.

Here's the ferry we took while we were in Kingston. The ferry to Wolfe Island is free, even for cars! Its getting from Wolfe Island to the U.S. that you pay for, though that's closed right now.

Some views from the ferry. This is the City Hall.

Here's a pic of Wolfe Island from the ferry. We didn't get off, 'cause there wasn't really anything to do on the island.

On the way home, we checked out Wellesley Island State Park (Wellesley Island is where the bridges go between the U.S. and Canada.) Here's a giant nest we saw.

And some views from the shore.

And then we came home and saw the kitties, who were all very sad that we left for three whole days. :P

You should make the Wolfe Island trip in the summer. It really comes to life. My wife and I have a cotage on a nearby island.
P.S. Try the Wolfe Island Bakery -- it's the best.
