The heat! The heat!

So.. its been about 85 to 95 degrees here recently. Not so bad compared to Oklahoma, huh? Well, here's the problem: We don't have air conditioners. If we chose to buy and install one ourselves, we would have to pay an extra 20 dollars a month for it. *sob* So, currently, we have an armada of fans running, and we're keeping the curtains closed to block the sunlight.

The kitties have been pretty docile during the day, probably because of the heat, but they're maniacs at night. Sometimes, at about three in the morning, Meara decides to yowl/chirp to get our attention. Bad kitty. Oro and Meara chase each other around in the early morning: over the bed, through the bathtub, etc. Right now Meara's all conked out in her kitty box. (Not her litter box: the box we brought her home from the shelter in.) Meh. At least the kitties are happy.
